VAS Audio speaker drivers are developed as integral components of complete sound systems. Designed and engineered in-house by VAS Audio, each transducer is optimized for high-output performance, controlled response, and long-term reliability in professional audio environments.
All VAS speaker drivers are measured, validated, and refined through real system use, ensuring predictable behavior in reflex, horn-loaded, bandpass, and hybrid enclosures. The result is a range of low- and high-frequency drivers built to meet the mechanical, thermal, and acoustic demands of modern sound reinforcement.
Low-Frequency Drivers (LF)
The VAS 18-1700FC (Ferrite) and VAS 18-1700NC (Neodymium) are high-performance 18″ low-frequency drivers engineered for professional bass applications requiring power, control, and efficiency.
Both models utilize a carbon fiber cone for a high stiffness-to-weight ratio, controlled breakup behavior, and reduced distortion at high excursion. A demodulating ring is integrated into the magnetic circuit to stabilize inductance and improve clarity across the operating range. The 5″ copper voice coil is designed for high thermal capacity and sustained power handling under continuous load.
The ferrite version is optimized for maximum robustness and long-term stability in high-power systems, while the neodymium version provides reduced mass and improved handling characteristics for portable and touring applications. Both drivers are suitable for reflex, horn-loaded, bandpass, and hybrid cabinet designs where precise low-frequency control is required.
High-Frequency Drivers (HF)
The VAS HF 1.4 N compression driver is designed for accurate and controlled high-frequency reproduction in professional mid-top and line-array style enclosures. Featuring a compact motor structure and optimized diaphragm assembly, it delivers consistent output, clear vocal reproduction, and stable performance at elevated sound pressure levels.
The HF 1.4 N is intended for use in systems where intelligibility, controlled dispersion, and reliable long-term operation are critical. Its design supports seamless integration with precision waveguides and mid-high enclosures used in professional sound reinforcement.
