FAQ
VAS Single Waveguides are designed for mid-high sections using a single 1.4″ compression driver, providing controlled high-frequency dispersion and consistent projection in compact top cabinets. Operating from 700 Hz to 20 kHz, the waveguide supports a smooth transition from the midrange section while maintaining clarity and balanced coverage across the listening area.
The 1.4″ (38 mm) throat diameter ensures efficient coupling with professional compression drivers, allowing the system to deliver detailed high-frequency reproduction with controlled directivity. Constructed from durable fiberglass, the waveguide maintains structural rigidity and acoustic stability, helping the compression driver perform cleanly even at higher output levels.
This configuration is well-suited for compact tops, portable sound systems, and point-source loudspeaker designs where precise mid-high reproduction and controlled dispersion are essential.
VAS Dual Waveguides are developed for systems using dual 1.4″ compression drivers, enabling higher output capability and wider high-frequency coverage. With an operating range from 500 Hz to 20 kHz, the design allows the high-frequency section to extend further into the upper midrange, creating smoother integration with the mid driver while maintaining strong projection and clarity.
By combining two compression drivers within a single dual waveguide structure, the system benefits from increased headroom, improved efficiency, and more even distribution of high frequencies across larger listening areas. This configuration reduces hot spots while preserving definition and consistent tonal balance throughout the audience area.
Built from fiberglass for strength and acoustic stability, the dual waveguide design supports demanding professional applications where high SPL, wide coverage, and controlled dispersion are required.
