The VAS 18-1700FC is a powerful 18" ferrite subwoofer driver built for serious sound system performance. With a 1700W AES / 3400W program power rating, a 5" copper voice coil, and an ultra-rigid carbon fiber cone, this driver delivers clean, controlled low-end with high efficiency and low distortion.
Its 12-corner cast aluminum basket with curved spokes ensures maximum airflow and mechanical stability, while the resin-treated cone and double silicone Conex spider guarantee durability in demanding setups. Designed for use in reflex, bandpass, or horn-loaded enclosures, the 18-1700FC has been tested on stages across Europe, and it’s now ready for yours.

The carbon fiber cone, reinforced with a factory-applied resin treatment, provides high stiffness, fast transient response, and moisture resistance, essential for outdoor events and demanding touring rigs.
A double silicone-treated Conex spider ensures stability at high excursion, while a single demodulating ring on the spider reduces distortion and flattens impedance, ensuring clean bass across the full frequency range. With a sensitivity of 97 dB (1W/1m) and ±13.5 mm Xmax, this driver combines power and precision like few others in its class.
