My honest review

Sound

(Running both stacks together with mono sub and kick, and stereo MF/HF)

* The system starts to come alive at medium+ volume. At higher levels, it really shines.
* The sound is engaging and fun, with an aggressive, physical character—without becoming too fatiguing when standing close.
* The bass has strong attack and feels directional.
* It makes people want to move.
* Excellent throw and presence, even in noisy environments where people are talking over the music.
* With modern club music (house, techno), I would estimate usable extension from around 46–48 Hz and up at high levels.

The only thing missing for my taste is a certain type of deep bass character, a solid “foundation” that fills the space around the speakers and the ability to reproduce 39–45 Hz at high output with heavy bass music.

This is where the LAVA 212 SUBWOOFER comes into play, I think.

That said, this is not really a drawback. The FAYA system excels at what it is designed to do. Trying to extend deeper within the same design would likely introduce compromises. By adding the LAVA subwoofer to the series, VAS Audio has addressed this limitation in a very professional way. Using a second bass system based on a different design principle is absolutely the right approach IMO.

Portability and build quality

These are beautiful speakers with excellent build quality (components, woodwork, and assembly).

They do require careful handling during transport and stacking, which is to be expected given the exposed wood finish.

I would argue that wheels are almost unnecessary, at least for me (183 cm tall), they are easy to grab and move. Overall, they are very manageable for a single person.

Value

Considering 2026 pricing and the general cost of professional audio from well-established manufacturers, the FAYA rig with Wharfedale Pro amplifiers represents excellent value in my opinion.

I’ve received a lot of positive feedback at events, from both casual listeners and audio professionals, which gives a fairly unbiased validation of the system’s performance I think.

Conclusion

This set up is professional! Everything from the DSP/amp, to the build and sound.
5 stars, without a doubt.
